Prior to entering private practice, Dan Adams worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office and as a Deputy District Attorney in Carson City, Nevada. In those roles Attorney Adams was responsible for prosecuting thousands of drunk driving, theft, burglary, fraud, narcotics, child abuse, property, gaming, and complex white-collar offenses.

Recently, Attorney Adams has lectured nationally at criminal defense conferences on the topics of defending drug overdose homicide cases and sentencing mitigation. During his former life as a prosecutor, Attorney Adams lectured at police academies, instructing cadets on criminal justice and constitutional concepts. He also advised police in their day-to-day and long-term investigations. This experience has given him an incredible working knowledge of how law enforcement agencies function.

In 2020, Attorney Adams’ work was highlighted in an issue of the New Yorker magazine.

In his spare time, Dan is a sought-after TV guest and legal analyst. He appeared in over 80 episodes of NBC-TMJ4’s Sunday Insight with Charlie Sykes, for years was a featured weekly guest on WTMJ-620’s Steve Scaffidi Show, has appeared on ABC, NBC, FOX, CNN and Dan Abrams Live, and has been quoted widely including in the Washington Post, AP, and Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
